Dr. Rodney Clark FOUNDER - SUPERINTENDENT
Dr. Rodney L. Clark is the Founder, Superintendent and Principal of Langston Hughes Academy for Arts and Technology. Dr. Clark is a native Tulsan and graduate of Booker T. Washington. He has a B.A. degree in Theatre from the University of Washington (Seattle) and a M.F.A. degree in Film from Howard University (Washington, D.C.). He also has an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from Oklahoma State University (Stillwater). He has 11 years’ experience as an Assistant Professor/Coordinator of Theatre from Tulsa Community College and Berea College in Kentucky. He also has 4 years of experience as an Administrator at Tulsa Public Schools. Dr. Clark is an author, playwright, filmmaker, entrepreneur, and rancher who enjoys directing plays and inspiring youth.
Mr. Mario Choice Assistant Principal - ATHLETIC DIRECTOR
Mario Choice is a native of Fort Worth, Texas and has resided in Tulsa for 17 years. He is the Assistant Principal, Athletic Director and head boys basketball coach at Langston Hughes Academy. He holds a bachelors degree and Masters degree in Urban Education from Langston University. Coach Choice has worked grades K-12th for the last 25 years and has also taught at the collegiate level. He has been a teacher/faculty since the inception of Langston Hughes Academy.
